The Home's blind kids had an early start on Saturday, headed out to the beach where a beautiful beach with crystal-clear waters awaited them a few kilometers south of Pattaya.
Once settled into a cosy spot, the water activities, games and swimming began in the warm waters of the ocean. Some of us even went on a banana boat ride which provided new thrills our blind children had not experienced until then. We lunched on seafood and then relaxed on the beach, played games or did some diving. This fun-filled day gave our blind children a respite from their daily routines and the opportunity to discover new things and come in contact with the sand and water. On the homeward journey, half the kids fell asleep, perhaps dreaming of the beautiful white sand beach they had just left behind. The smiles and bursts of laughter of the kids will forever be what made the day for those of us who can see.
